  1. To allow my child to take part in the tennis programme.
  2. To permit photographs or video of my child to be taken during coaching or match activities (if published, they will appear without contact details, in line with current guidelines). If you do not give consent for photography, please email david.acetennisacademy@yahoo.co.uk or speak to any of the coaches.
  3. For the administration of emergency injury treatment in the event that my consent cannot be obtained at the time of the injury and where the injury is considered life threatening or requiring immediate treatment.
  4. For my child’s personal data to be stored on database in line with Data Protection regulations.

Behaviour (applicable to all junior bookings)

For the progression and enjoyment of all participants we require that all coaching attendees try their best and demonstrate good beheviour. This includes listening to the coach demonstrations/feedback and showing respect for coaches / peers / the club.

In rare cases of misbehabiour, our coaches follow the following process:

  • 1st instance: 'Soft warning' from the coach
  • 2nd instance (or more serious misbehaviour): Player to sit out an activity / period of time.
  • 3rd instance (or very serious misbeaviour): Removal from the session and parents contacted.

It is not our coaches jobs to handle disciplinary issues outside of the sessions, so any queries should be raised with the Head Coach. Should your child have any behavioural or learning difficulties please declare these in the enrolment form so that we can make adequate adjustments.

Wet Weather-

On wet days, the decison to whether to cancel group lessons will be made at least 30mins prior to the lesson start time. Cancellation of one group lesson does not necessarily mean that other lessons will be cancelled that day. Some lessons may take place indoors, inside the club house using the squash courts as mini tennis courts. If you choose not to attend on doubtful days then you risk missing the class if it takes place.

Any classes cancelled will be made up at the end of the term or the week prior to the start of the next term.  If it is not possible for us to run a make-up class due to term dates/weather, we will offer credit toawrds a day of holiday camps to be used on the day of you're choice.

On extermely wet days, we may try to contact you as early as possible. For private lessons please call your coach to find out if your lesson will go ahead.

Changes to Lesson Schedules-

Occasionally we may need to make changes to our published  schedule, including cancelling a published group lesson, creating an additional group lesson, or changing the day / Time of a group session. In such cases we are generally unable to update our printed brochures / Flyers but we endeavar to keep the schedule up-todate on our website.

If there are insufficient enrolments by the end of week 1 of a school term for a scheduled group lesson to be viable, we may cancel that group for the term.

Anyone who has already enrolled a child in a scheduled lesson that is subsequently cancelled or changed will be offered alternative time slots or given a full refund.
