Great Performances from the girls but Angus emerges TB10s winner

A strong field saw 2 groups take part in a singles tie break 10s contest with all matches being Tie Breaks up to 10 points.

The boys group saw Douglas and Lawrence Brewer welcome in their teenage years (both boys turning 13 on the day) by putting on some impressive performances, with Raphael Last in his tournament debut at the club finishing in a strong mid table position.

A further impressive debut came from Alex Gresswell finishing in 3rd but the group was dominated by Euan Brooke and Angus Robinson with Angus taking victory by a single point.

The standard of the girls group was extremely high with Poppy Courtis fighting hard and Eva Kettlewell putting in a good performance.

Simone Carrick was the winner of the group losing only to Freya Lefley in a sudden death shoot out. Miranthi Giorgio was extremelly unlucky not to go through to the final only having 1 defeat that being to Simone in the group stages. The impressive Freya Lefley made it through by scoring well throughout and edging out Miranthi by a couple of points.

The semi finals saw Simone edge out Euan Brooke with some strong power hitting, whilst Angus showed good court craft to overcome Freya. The final between Angus and Simone came down to a sudden death point at 9-9 with Angus taking it to claim the title and living up to the tie break 10s slogan that 'every point counts'.

Both Angus and Simone will now get the chance to compete at the National Tennis Centre in the next round of the competition on November 10th.
