Private lessons can take the form of a 1:1 or 2:1 lesson or privately arranged group and are available at the following venues:
- Leeds Trinity University, Horsforth
- David Lloyd Harrogate
- The Hollies, Weetwood
Our primary recommendation for children would be to do a weekly private tennis lessons (typically 1:1 or 2:1) in addition to group lessons.
Whilst we recommend regular lessons, occassional lessons are also great for giving your game a 'boost'.
Video Analysis is used regularly in private lessons and even if you are not minded to take these regularly the expert video feedback and 'split-screen' video reviews provided will provide you with a clear blueprint of what to work on.

Are 1:1 Lessons Best?
We believe for most players 1:1 lessons are the best way to work on their own particular technical, tactical or mental objectives.
In the longer term, particularly for juniors, we believe 2:1 lessons may be just as beneficial, especially if 2 similar matched children can take a lesson together. Aside from being cheaper per child, a 2:1 lesson gives children the opportunity to learn technically and tactically as well as put the learning immediately into practice against another child, which is often more realistic than playing against a coach.
Every player is an individual and it may be that a bespoke package of 1:1 together with 2:1 lessons together and/or group tennis is the best fit for them.
Please get in touch to discuss your goals and objectives.
We utilise 'Sports Biometrics' principles and the latest biomechanical research to help players improve their technique and tactics at the fastest possible rate and minimise the risk of injury. We also recommend video analysis of your shots to increase the speed of learning and would typically use this in individual lessons. John Moore has extensive experience providing video analysis of stroke technique which can be done quickly and helps players understand and learn quicker.
Individual lessons with John Moore are available at Leeds Trinity University, or Leeds City Council park courts eg. Holt Park, The Hollies.
Costs £40 per hour / £35 for children in our group programme.
