Feeling Safe and Welcome

At Allt-ty-ryn Tennis Club we want everyone to feel safe, welcome and enjoy playing tennis. We are committed to prioritising the well being of children and adults, promotong safeguarding in our club at all times. Our policies strive to minimise risk, deliver a positive tennis experience for everyone and respond appropriately to all safeguarding concerns and disclosures. Please be assured that if any safeguarding concerns or disclosures are shared they will be treated sensitively and with confidentiality.

Your safety matters.

We understand that sometimes things happen and it’s important to know who to turn to.

Our dediated Welfare and Safeguarding Officr is Cheryl Buck.

Cheryl has been a member at Allt-yr-yn Tennis Club since 2009. She is a retired assistant head teacher and a keen tennis player. She has taught children of all ages and has a special interest in supporting children and young people who have additional learning needs.

There is a display at the club that provides information about safeguarding for children and adults. We encourage parents to share this information with their child.

Adults are also encouraged to read this information.

If you have any concerns such as:

  • Inappropriate behaviour by a coach
  • Inappropriate behaviour by another adult
  • Your child is unhappy at tennis
  • A child or adult at risk is being bullied at the tennis club
