A couple of years ago, with membership numbers dwindling and the club facing a gradual extinction, our committee at Alveley Tennis Club decided to take action. Through the hard work of our volunteers and dedicated coaches we have been able to put on Open Days, Free Coaching sessions, and introduced new Social Tennis sessions for our existing members. Through these initiatives, we have turned the tide, and we are pleased to report that membership has been steadily increasing over the past couple of years, and that this month we have hit a total of 60 members! 

This is up from a low of 35 members back in early 2022, and shows that the hard work pays dividends, and that there are people out there who are keen to get involved in tennis. Even more promising is that this membership includes several junior members, family memberships, and a handful of younger adults, which will hopefully ensure the survival of our friendly, community club.

The work does not stop here though, and the committee is determined to keep working hard and delivering more reasons to get involved at Alveley Tennis Club. All are welcome at our club and hopefully we can reach a target of 100 members within the next few years!
