Alveley Tennis Club has now run two successful Introduction to Pickleball sessions in January, with Coach Jack leading groups of nearly twenty players on Friday evenings despite windy and rainy weather. Players who turned out include members and non-members, total beginners and more experienced players, all having fun under the Alveley floodlights. With Jean providing tea and biscuits to keep everyone warm and happy, and other committee members helping to set up and clear away the pickleball courts, the sessions were able to flow smoothly, and many new members are considering joining our community club!

Because of the success of these sessions, Alveley Tennis Club has decided to continue to make Fridays pickleball day. Coach Jack, now with full pickleball accreditation, will run a coaching session with a maximum of 8 players at 6:20, and then from 7pm everyone is welcome to a social mix-in to get playing pickleball and mingling, and most importantly, having fun.
