Safeguarding for children and adults

At ARTC we believe Safeguarding is vital to allow everyone to access the facilities of the club confidently , whether that be via coaching, social tennis or competitive play. We have worked hard to deliver an inclusive and comprehensive range of safeguarding policies to meet the standards of the LTA  which were approved in February 2023.

We expect all members , coaches and volunteers to familiarise themselves with all aspects of ARTC safeguarding  and ensure all new members are signposted to our guidance on a regular basis through:

  • Regular newsletters
  • Regular agenda items at committee meetings
  • A condition of membership
  • Website access
  • A Welcome letter for all new members

Our Welfare Officer, Chris Howat, is supported by a Safeguarding sub-committee. She can be contacted in confidence on welfare@artc.org.uk. to report concerns around all aspects of Safeguarding .

Here is the link to the LTA's Safe to Play which is another way in which concerns can be raised.
