The Charity Golf Day and Dinner on 15th September was a great success thanks to the attendees and donations made.
26 people took part in the golf day which was held in perfect, although not too hot weather. A number of people got to enjoy a round of golf for the first time too which was fantastic to see. The golf was won by Ann Bishop with a fantastic 40 points, with the nearest the pin being won by Karl Howarth and the longest drive won by Richard Coward. Well played to everybody who joined us and really pleased that those non-golfers got the chance to take their frustrations out on a little ball that does not move rather than a moving green one with fur on it.
31 people attended the dinner at Bearsted Golf Club in the evening enjoying a great meal prepared by Holly and the catering team.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody that attended, as well as all of those that very kindly contributed prizes and donated money to the Shelter and Cancer Research charities. Your kind donations are massively appreciated.
I would also like to say a big thank you to Bearsted Golf Club for supporting us at the event, as well as the donation of the raffle prize too.
We are still concluding on the final sum raised for the charities but hope to have this closed off and donated in the next week or two.
Many thanks once again.
