The time is near - We will be playing again soon!

We finally have further light at the end of the tunnel and tennis will be allowed from the 29th March. Very welcome news as I know everyone is itching to get back on court. Singles and Doubles will be allowed with social distancing rules applying to different government phases as we head towards normality later this year. These are very exciting times for us all. Members are loving the new court surface

Our new Poraflex® surface on court one is proving to be very popular. It's a high performance porous cushioned acrylic which is much softer on the joints – an important factor for many members who noticed the difference immediately. The superb porosity makes it playable in the wet with much less slip – especially beneficial as we play all year round at Bearsted & Thurnham. A big thumbs up!

Helping Kent Greyhound Rescue

David Burton was approached this week by Mark and Emma Beaney from Kent Greyhound Rescue (KGR) asking for a donation of old tennis balls. With Kim Martin's help, we had a clear out of the old balls used for social tennis and replaced them with lovely new ones in the foyer.
