The ladies tournament took place last Thursday 19th August. 30 ladies played for most of the day in mixed ability pairs in a round robin tournament within 2 leagues. The league winners battled it out in the final. Congratulations to the winners Celia Pascoe (special guest) and Julie Cane, and the runners-up Kathryn Lukehurst and Sandra Knatchbull.

We all congregated afterwards in the clubhouse for steak and salads followed by a load of desserts.
Many thanks to all those who prepared the food at home - so much nicer than a takeaway !

Thanks also to Sheila Burton and Jenny Poulter who once again planned and organised the event, to David Burton and Nigel Poulter the scorekeepers and court schedulers, which meant Sheila and Jenny could play, and to Mike Judson for his chef skills cooking the meat just perfectly!
