COACHING RECOMMENCING Monday 27 January  with our NEW coach DEREK BROWN!       

Beechgrove Tennis Club are very excited to announce that Level 5 LTA Master Performance Coach Derek Brown has joined us as our Head Coach.   He will be leading a programme of coaching which will cater for all ages and abilities. 

Derek has a wealth of experience and has developed many junior players to County and National level.  Some players have had top 5 GB rankings and have even gone on to play at Wimbledon.  He has twice won the prestigious Tennis Scotland Coach of the Year Award.  

Whilst Derek has specialised in performance level coaching he has continued to coach all other levels throughout his career and is keen to help all standards and ages.  Derek will also be available for private lessons and offers a racket stringing service.  He can be contacted on 07742 161828.

Beechgrove is an LTA Youth venue. We have blue, red, orange and green stages aimed at players between the ages of 3 and 10 years old.  The yellow stage is for 10-18 years old. Each stage has it's own court size and type of ball. Red balls are 75% slower than full compression yellow balls, orange balls are 50% slower and green balls are 25% slower. More information about Youth Tennis can be found on the LTA website.  Tennis racquets can be provided.

One off taster sessions are available so that you can try our coaching.    Just come to the appropriate session and pay on the day (£7).  If you enjoy it, you can join online for the rest of the coaching block! 

Please note that sometimes our usual coach is not available.  In these circumstances a suitably qualified coach is substituted.  They will be approved by the Head Coach and the Club. 

Racquets can be provided.  Please bring water and weather appropriate clothing!

Now we have a new pavilion, if we have bad weather, we hope to be able to move indoors for alternative activities.
