INCLUSUSIVE - ACTIVE - SOCIAL

The  ABILITY programme started in 2017 and in 2021 came runner up in the LTA National Awards and was awarded the Regional and Yorkshire "Tennis For All Award"

Since then we have become the LTA Open court lead for South Yorkshire.

We now offer clubs, committees, community groups and schools advice on how to break down the barriers for people with disabilities to take part in sport. As well as how to organise and run inclusive sports sessions.

The team of inclusive coaches run sessions for all abilities in club, community and educational settings, such as Brentwood Tennis Club, Hallamshire Tennis Club, Graves Tennis Centre,Meersbrook and Mount Pleasant Park, Shipshape, Mencap and the Royal Spinal Injuries unit at the Northern General hospital.

We have also helped to set SOUTH YORKSHIRE VISUALLY IMPAIRED TENNIS CLUB which is the fastest growing visually impaired tennis club in the country.

We are also helping to set up SHEFFIELD WHEELCHAIR TENNIS CLUB at Graves Tennis Centre.

Ability Coaching

Our group  programmes run year round. We run our sessions at a number of outdoor and indoor venues such as Brentwood Tennis Club, Hallamshire Tennis and Squash Club, Graves Tennis Centre, Meersbrook Park and Mount Pleasant Park.
