Berkshire has been awarded the ‘Most Improved County’ in the LTA County Cup Race for 2022.

The County Cup Race recognises a County’s performance in all County Cup events. Points are allocated after each event, starting with the 18U event in March and concludes with the Winter County Cup in November. The County with the most points across all events will be recognised as the overall County Cup Race Champion for that year. In 2022 that was won by Yorkshire. In addition, the county making the biggest year on year improvement on their previous year's final position is awarded the ‘Most Improved County’.  In 2021 we finished 28/44 but in 2022 we have finished in 11/44.

This amazing result is due to the contributions of all our teams and the points they achieved throughout the County Cup competitions; from 9U right through to our O35s.

We are incredibly proud of all teams' efforts in gaining this award and everyone who represented Berkshire in a County Cup Event will receive a small memento.

The coaches, team captains and background staff have also worked tirelessly in their efforts to provide a strong county performance programme and we acknowledge that these people have made a huge contribution too.
