New Visually Impaired Tennis E-learn Now Available

Fantastic new opportunity for you to learn!

British Blind Sport have developed a brand new e-learn in partnership with UK Coaching and the LTA. This course has been launched to help tennis coaches in their role in boosting the number of blind and partially sighted players participating in tennis. You will notice a number of our players and coaches from within our Open Court programme throughout the tennis ‘bolt on’ as well as our very own Frankie Rohan driving this development forward in her role with British Blind Sport.

The new e-learning sessions feed into the See Sport Differently campaign that British Blind Sport has partnered with RNIB on, which shows that one in two blind and partially sighted people feel that having sight loss stops them from exercising as much as they would like to, with one in three saying there are sports they want to try but have been unable to.

VI tennis is still one of our fastest growing impairment specific types of tennis throughout the UK – but there is so much more we can do and this is a large element to ensuring that our coaching workforce is educating and confident in their delivery. Please can we ask you to share this course to any venues, coaches and/or volunteers throughout your County who may benefit from accessing this e-learn.
