Our Head Coach, Leigh Owen, manages our full coaching programme at Bertram Tennis Club.
- This is an annual programme which offers coaching for all ages and abilities throughout all 12 months of the year.
- This ranges from individual coaching to group sessions as well as many other things such as Racket restringing.
- Leigh has been coaching for 24 years and is a fully accredited and insured DBS checked Level 3 Club Coach. He has worked extensively in multiple club set ups as Head Coach and was Wirral Community Tennis Coach for 3 and a half years based at Pensby college and supported by the LTA. That involved delivering school tennis on the Wirral. Leigh works with all ages and levels from beginner through intermediate to advanced.

Below is our Junior Coaching Programme and Pre-season Coaching Programme for 2023:
JUNIOR COACHING:
Saturday morning - 5 to 9 year olds (Mini Red and Mini Orange) 11 am - 12 noon (from 29 April )
Monday evening - 9 to 15 year olds 6 pm - 7 pm
Other Junior sessions can be arranged privately with Leigh.
PRE-SEASON COACHING:
Saturday morning coaching sessions (5 in total) will run on 25 March and 1/8/15/22 April, initially for 1 hour (10-11am) but with option to extend this by 30 mins to 9.30-11am.
Tuesday evening coaching sessions (4 in total) will run on 28 March and 4/11/18 April, 6.15-7.45pm. Although Leigh will not be available on Tuesday 4 April, it is still worth turning up anyway for some games and hitting practice.
