Biddestone Family Club Session Launch!

We are very excited to launch Biddestone Tennis Club’s brand-new Family club session! Taking place on a Saturday afternoon fortnightly 1:30-3pm.

What is the family club session?

It is a club organised session which does exactly what it says on the tin: to bring families of all ages and abilities on to the tennis court to play together, enjoy quality family time, and create a really welcome environment for juniors and families to feel welcome at the club.

When is it happening?

The first three dates the club are trialling are Saturday 9th May, 23rd May and 6th June. First session taking place will be working with our coaching partner Blue Sky Tennis - with Shaun Hitchcock helping the club with how it can operate and run for future sessions.

Who can get involved?

Any juniors and parents! The session is welcome to juniors and their families of all ages and abilities - the first three sessions are open to everyone and anyone who are either current members of the club, or non-members who might be interested in finding out more about the tennis club and what is had to offer for both juniors and adults.

Do parents have to be on court in the session?

As it is a family session we will always encourage parents to get involved on court with the kids (part of the fun of it all!) - Two of the things we want to champion with this session are:

  • Quality family time - what better way than playing tennis together on a lovely summer afternoon - playing with (or trying to beat!) mum, dad or grandparents
  • Tennis Development - Kids also tend to improve quicker with their tennis as well with parents, as generally they hit more tennis balls and are a lot more confident around their family.

That being said, if you have friends that you are meeting at the session, kids are more than welcome to play amongst each other as well

Please Note: Due to safeguarding purposes, parents do need to remain on-site while their child takes part in the session.

Do I need to stay for the whole session?

Not at all - players are more than welcome to join later after the session has started, can leave early, or can stay for the whole lot!

How to i sign up?

Easy! Just click on this link to our google form to register for the first three sessions - this is just to help the organisers know who is coming to the session.
