Junior Coaching

At Biddestone Tennis Club we have partnered with Bluseky to provide our Junior Tennis Coaching Programme. More information on Blusky can be found here: Clubspark / Biddestone Tennis Club / Coaching

Junior BTC members get a discount on junior coaching courses and holiday clubs. It only takes enrolling on a few courses to earn the cost of your membership back! And Junior Membership with BTC allows our juniors to bring a parent to play on court with them for no addtional charge!

For our Juniors, the following Coaching Group Sessions are available:

• Explorers 5-8 yrs
• Hot Shots 9-12 yrs 
• Evolution 13-17 yrs 

Junior Competitions

Juniors have opportunities to progress from coaching into LTA leagues & tournaments and participate in internal junior competitions. We aim to nurture both skill and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

For Summer 2026 season we are delighted to have the following teams in the LTA Wiltshire Youth & National League:

8U Mixed

14U Boys - Division 1

16U Boys - Division 2

Biddestone Half Term Camps  

Dates: 26th & 27th May

Red Explorers (5-8yrs) – 9.30am – 12.30pm

Orange & Green Hot Shot (9-12yrs) – 9.30am – 12.30pm

Junior Evolution (13+) – 1pm – 4pm

Family Club Sessions

We are trialling Family Club Sessions are run on alternate Saturday afternoons. We would love to extend our Family Club sessions beyond this and also to introduce Junior Club Sessions, where it would be great to see our 13+ juniors playing socially together on court. To do this we need Parent Volunteers to help supervise them, If you would be happy to help with this, please contact Trish Simpson

FAQs

Q: What age can my child start coaching?
A: Children as young as 5 can join our junior coaching programme.

Q: Do they need their own racket?
A: Basic equipment is provided, but children are welcome to bring their own.

Q: Are sessions term-time only?
A: Yes, our structured coaching sessions run during school terms, with periodic holiday activities.

Q: Will my junior have the opportunity to play in competitions?

A: Guided by our coaching team at Bluesky, we enter teams in the LTA Youth Leagues. We would love more of our juniors to take part in this. Please contact the Coach for more information: 

Q: Can juniors play tennis for Biddestone in the adult leagues?

A: Selected juniors can play, strictly by invitation of the Head Coach and with conditions. We hold a list of our juniors playing in the adult league for Biddestone Tennis Club. Juniors are are vetted for suitability for adult league tennis and the coach recommend teams in which they could play. Suitability is judged on physical and emotional maturity as well as tennis ability. Parents must also provide written consent and supervision to enable them to play in the adult league.
