CLUBSPARK LOGIN UPDATE

14/8/21 Footnote added.

16/8/21 Covering  email to Members added

The Club have received an email from the LTA re the ClubSpark Login update (see below). The following summary was sent to members 16/8/21:

Dear Members

As per previous email on this subject back in April, the LTA & ClubSpark, who provide our website, are changing how members log-in:
this affects you because you have to be logged in to book courts, and to book onto the Monday group coaching classes.

The change is expected to eventually require all ClubSpark users to have an LTA account.

The LTA & ClubSpark are now ready to roll out this change again* - in a phased manner.

There is no need to do anything immediately, but please be aware that if you use a Social Media account to log in to the club website,

you are likely to be contacted by the LTA in the next weeks, regarding updating your login account from a Social Media account (Facebook, Google or Microsoft social account) to a single LTA account.

Please Note:

Only Social Media logins (Facebook, Microsoft and Google) are currently being updated to an LTA login.

If you use an email/password (ClubSpark login) or an LTA login then you can continue to log in and access the club website as normal.

We are still expecting those who use an email/password (ClubSpark login) to be asked to update to an LTA login at some point, but we have no timeframe for this at present.

*More details are shown below.

The Club have received the following email from the LTA re the ClubSpark Login update:

"CLUBSPARK LOGIN UPDATE
Hi

Please note you are being sent this information as it may affect your members at your venue.

We, the LTA are continuing to invest in technology for tennis players, volunteers and coaches. We have listened to feedback from users who were frustrated with having to use multiple usernames and passwords to access LTA digital tools and, as a result, we have simplified the log in process.

We are delighted that we are now extending the use of single log in credentials, using an LTA Account, for ClubSpark users.

We have performed more testing
We started to introduce this process at the end of spring; unfortunately we experienced some technical issues leading to the functionality being paused. After which we reviewed further feedback and performed thorough user testing which allows us to confidently restart the account merging exercise.

Benefit from a single set of log in credentials
Your members will be able to use their LTA username and password to easily access ClubSpark as well as enter competitions and access Advantage where they can benefit from:

✔ Keeping track of their match results in their own player’s area
✔ Save money with discounts on Dunlop equipment, Castore clothing, Adidas footwear etc
✔ Enter the Wimbledon Ballot and get priority for tickets to LTA tennis tournaments, Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup

We hope this eases the administrative burden for you, by removing duplicate records and reducing the amount of players forgetting their account details.

NEXT STEPS
A phased approach will begin from Wednesday 18 August 2021. We will start to move every ClubSpark user who currently logs in using a Facebook, Google or Microsoft social account to a single LTA account.

Impacted users will receive an email from ClubSpark detailing the changes and the process they’ll undertake when they log in. Below is a summary for your information:

✔ When they next login to ClubSpark they will be prompted to create or merge an LTA account. From then on, these are the only log in details they will need.
✔ This is a simple two-stage process that should only take 2-3 minutes

It’s important that your members login to their ClubSpark account and follow the steps to create an LTA account so that any upcoming bookings are not lost.

The sharing of this information is to make you aware of the impact to some of your members; there is nothing you need to do.

SUPPORT GUIDES AND FAQs
To support you and everyone who will be contacted, we have created, and will continue to develop, a set of FAQs which you can direct any queries to for more information. Should you receive any queries from your members please direct them to these support guides.
