Safeguarding
Wirral Council and the LTA are committed to prioritising the well-being of all children and adults at risk, promoting safeguarding in our parks at all times, including all programmes and events we run. This Policy strives to minimise risk, deliver a positive tennis experience for everyone and respond appropriately to all safeguarding concerns/disclosures. We are committed to ensuring we have 5 minimum standards in place:
- Safeguarding policy and procedures in place in conjunction with the Wirral safeguarding children board and the Wirral multi agency adult safeguarding team
- Diversity and Inclusion policy and procedures
- A welfare officer who has completed a safeguarding course within the last 3 years and holds a current DBS, along with a subscription to the update service
- All relevant staff working on the courts will hold relevant qualifications, training and a criminal record check, with a subscription to the update service
- Annual risk assessments of the venue
