Membership

Bishop’s Castle Tennis Club welcomes everyone, young and older, whether you are an experienced player or are just starting out. Membership allows you to book courts for free, and provides access to Club activities including a range of Club Play sessions. Our membership year starts on 1 April 2026, running until 31 March 2027. Prices are reduced from October 2026 for the second half of the membership year.

New for 2026, we have a special offer price of just £1 for the year for Juniors, Youths and their parents or guardians (to play only with their child). This discounted price is funded by donations from Bishop’s Castle Town Council and Dylan Price Foundation. We also offer affordable memberships for young adults and those with a low income, and a discounted price for new members.

For adults who would like to try us out before committing to a membership, we offer two free trial Club Play sessions before you join, and there are free Saturday morning ‘Come and play’ sessions during April and July. Contact info@bishopscastletennis.org to book a trial Club Play session. For full access to all Club benefits for a trial period, you can take a 3-month taster membership.

Junior and Youth members

Juniors (up to age 12 years) and Youth members (age 13-17) are very welcome. The membership must be applied for by the parent or guardian. Juniors must be supervised by an adult during play. Youth members may play unsupervised if the parent or guardian gives their permission for this, and in agreement with our safeguarding policy. Further details are available on joining.

To join

Our website is administered by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). To join our Club, you first need to register for an LTA Advantage account. You can then use this login and password to purchase membership for yourself and/or for Junior members. If you need help with this, see our Guide to registering with the LTA

If you are an adult joining on behalf of a Junior or Youth member, we also have a Guide to taking out a Junior or Youth membership to help you with this process.

Having registered with the LTA and logged in, choose the membership package from the table below that suits you. Find the relevant package below the table and click ‘Join now’. If you need further help with this process, contact info@bishopscastletennis.org
