Blairgowrie Tennis Club recognises our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and adults at risk.  We are committed to ensuring our safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and LTA safeguarding standards, which can be found here: https://www.lta.org.uk/about-us/safeguarding/venue-standards/

Definitions
Child: anyone under the age of 18.
Adult at risk: Scotland (Adult Support and Protection Act 2007)
An individual aged 16 years and over who:
a) is unable to safeguard their own well-being, property, rights or other interests,
b) is at risk of harm, and because they are affected by disability, mental disorder, illness or physical or mental infirmity, is more vulnerable to being harmed than adults who are not so affected.
