The 2016 Blaydon Tennis Club Family Tournament, sponsored by Quorn and the Perfect Blend Tearoom, was held on Sunday, 29th May (1.00pm).

Always a popular tournament, the event catered for all ages and abilities; with non-members welcome to pair up with a member.

There will be two categories: red event for pairs with children aged 3-9, and yellow event for ages 9 upwards.

22 pairs of competitors battled across the 2 events, breaking off for occasional family fun games.

Congratulations to the red event winners Ollie and Dad Ged Mcgonnell, beating Harry and Dad Phil Spoors 4-1.

Taking the trophy in the yellow event brothers Sam and Paddy Horne, winning 6-2 in the final against Charles Ross and Joe Jackson-Bell.
