Blaydon Tennis Club had an excellent evening at the recent Durham and Cleveland LTA Awards Evening.

A large party attended the event held at Sunderland's Stadium of Light. Amongst those whose achievements were recognized were the following teams and individuals:-

Winter League Red Division Two;
Orange League (Sunderland) Blaydon "A";
Orange League (Newcastle) Blaydon "B";
Winter League Green (Under 14 Boys) Division Two;
Under 18 Boys Division North;
Team Tennis 8 and under Division One North;
Team Tennis 9 and under Division One North;
Team Tennis 10 and under Division One North;
County Road to Wimbledon Runner -up Jake Grant;
Durham & Cleveland Closed 8 and under Boys' singles winner - Will Morgan;
Durham & Cleveland Closed under 9 Boys' singles winner - Colgan Thompson;
Durham & Cleveland Closed under 10 Boys' singles winner - Evan Conway;
Durham & Cleveland under 12s Boys' doubles winner - Jake Grant;
Durham & Cleveland under 14s Boys' doubles winner - Jake Grant;
Durham & Cleveland under 16 Boys' doubles runner-up - Jake Grant;
The Education Award went to Whickham Parochial School who work closely with Jonathan.

Finally, to round off an encouraging evening Blaydon Tennis club was named "Runner-Up" in the "Club of the Year" sector.
