Our Junior Tennis players, aged 11-17 years, play on a full size court with a standard net height and full compression yellow tennis balls.
Mini players
Our mini players, for coaching purposes, are divided into three age groups:
- Mini Tennis Red for players 8 years and under
- Mini Tennis Orange for players 8 and 9 years
- Mini Tennis Green for players 9 and 10 years
To help these children progress quickly and gain confidence, the following elements vary for each group: court size, net height, size of racquet, scoring system and the size and colour of the low compression tennis balls.
Parents or guardians of children 13 years and under are required to remain on the premises to provide supervision.
Junior Club Night
Our FREE supervised Club Night for Mini and Junior members is held on term-time Monday evenings.

Club Night provides an ideal opportunity for children to practise their tennis skills, take part in competitive activities, socialise and have fun.

Coaching
Our coaching team offers an active coaching programme for all mini and junior age groups, members and non-members. Sessions take place after school hours on weekdays and on Saturday mornings. Holiday coaching camps are held during school half terms and holidays, for members and non-members.

Competition
Teams of various age groups compete in the LTA Aegon summer leagues and a Closed Tournament for mini and junior members is an annual event. During some Junior Club Night sessions children who are British Tennis Members play timed singles matches, with results then submitted to the LTA website. Players can visit the LTA website to access a record of their matches played, wins achieved and their current rating.
