New courts and general maintenance

The old turf on courts 1, 2 and 3 has been lifted and rolled up ready for removal. We are now awaiting the delivery of the new turf next week. Please note there is NO PLAY on any of the courts whilst the improvements are underway, for health and safety reasons. Members can book courts for free on any of the newly resurfaced South Tyneside park courts for the duration of our improvements, by contacting Hannah on 07908 512960, stating which court, when and for how long and she will send you a code to get in.

Many thanks to Roy and his merry band of helpers, namely Rita and Clive, Russ S, Ian B, Alan G and Gillian O who have taken advantage of the closure to cut back the encroaching shrubbery, do a bit of painting, remove and replace kickboards and other odd jobs. If anyone else can offer help, please contact Roy at boldon.ltc@outlook.com.

If you feel you can offer more long term support to the club, why not consider joining one of our sub-committees? There is the Funcom which is all about socials, fundraising and publicity, Tencom which focuses on our tennis events, and Courtcom which looks after the courts and clubhouse, keeping them in tip-top condition. If you have any interest/skills in any of the above areas, and would like to help out, even on an ad-hoc basis, please get in touch or speak to a committee member at our AGM on Wed 15th October, 7pm. Thank you.
