About the Club
Brighstone Lawn Tennis Club has been established for over 41 years and offers membership to all standards of Adults and Juniors. Located right in the middle of an area of outstanding natural beauty, we have two hard courts, and a small club house in the Brighstone Recreation Ground. The courts are not floodlit..
We are an LTA affiliated venue, run by and for our members, providing social and competitive tennis to players of all ages and abilities, with a range of membership packages available.
If you are new to the game or just want to brush up on your technique, we offer coaching throughout the year. Our Mixed Members club sessions are on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings as well as Tuesday evenings with a Gentlemen's morning on Saturday and a Ladies session on Sundays
Above all, our aim is to provide affordable tennis for all; our subscription rates are very reasonable and we do offer monthly direct debiting options to spread the cost. Potential new members may use the club up to four times before committing themselves to membership.
We take the safeguarding of all our members very seriously and have processes in place to deal with any concerns. David Robinson and Annie Beavis are our Welfare Officers and they have both attended LTA Safeguarding Training and hold a current DBS. Problems can be brought to the Club’s attention by contacting the Club Secretary, Chris Goodman on 01983 741166 or by email: [email protected]
The Club has adopted the relevant LTA policies (Safeguarding, and Equality and Diversity) and these can be found at www.lta.org.uk/about-the-lta/policies-and-rules/safeguarding-protection/
Full information on the approach we follow can be found in the practical safeguarding help section of the link: "What's The Score". This is the LTA's detailed guidance to Clubs on all aspects of safeguarding.
Our club supports the LTA's Diversity Action Plan which can be found here: https://www.lta.org.uk/globalassets/about-lta/equality--diversity/lta-diversity-action-plan.pdf
