Brooke and District Tennis Club - Ladder League 2025

Welcome to our 2025 Singles Ladder League!

Scoring

A single set with a championship tie-break (first to 10 by 2 clear points) at 6-6

Players can play a further set socially, but the result of the first set will be counted as the result.

Results to be submitted along with the match date to the ladder league whatsapp group

Rules and Order of Play

The competition will run from June 14th 2025 and is open to all members 13yrs and over*

Initial league positions will be seeded (with support from Martin)

Top 8 Players can challenge those up to 3 places above

Players 9 and below in the league can challenge 5 places above

A successful challenger takes the place of the higher seed who will move down one position

Players must organise with other players to play matches in their own time.

Players challenge each other in order to move up the ladder.

Players should not refuse a challenge from a player below.

If players continue to refuse challenges or are unable to play matches they will be moved down the table.

Players to provide their own tennis balls.

The league standings and match results will be displayed at the clubhouse and on the club website. This will be updated weekly on a Sunday.

*entrants can be 13yrs and over with all those under 16 years of age requiring the consent of a parent/carer and for their matches to be supervised. For entrants under 18yrs of age, the parent/carer will be on the laegue WhatsApp group.
