It is with heavy hearts that we have to report the sad passing of Mike James last week. Mike was a founding member of Bucklebury Tennis Club in the 1970's and Chairman from 1976-81 and again 1995-2019. As Chairman, he helped develop the Club as a thriving part of the local community, putting a huge amount of time and effort into making it a success and in his last years as Chairman, he oversaw the introduction of the floodlights and a new Clubhouse, assets which helped the Club be awarded Berkshire Club of the Year in 2021.The Club continues to thrive but Mike will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with his wife Betty and their three children at this sad time. May he rest in peace.

The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday 27th November at 11:00am at All Saints Church, Upper Bucklebury.

The Club Committee
