On a rather cool and overcast day a Ladies' doubles tennis tournament was held on Saturday 27 April.  Twelve members took part, playing in two leagues and playing with a different partner each time.  All the games were recorded and the two players with the most points in each league played in the finals. After some very closely fought games, the finalists were Karen Pegg /Jean Lyle and Sarah Lewington  /Carol Newby.  Karen and Jean just managed to secure the win after another tight game.

Congratulations to the winners who were awarded "The Robin London Trophy" .  This trophy was very kindly donated by Hanne Roberts in memory of our late Chairman.

Many thanks to all who participated and for bringing some lovely snacks for everyone to enjoy.  Despite the cool temperature and with plenty of hot drinks available, it was a great social occasion and a fitting tribute to our late Chairman.
