Because BHRG have kindly agreed that we can schedule these but it is still subject to obtaining permission from the groundsmen (Andrew) or the kiosk staff before you go on court and on every occasion.

Can I play during the day?

Yes, but only if you check that it is fine with the groundsmen or kiosk staff, as above, before you go onto the court and on every occasion. The club is not licensed to play during the day and therefore it is their decision. However, they are very accommodating and to our knowledge permission has never been denied.

How can I get access to the courts and clubhouse, out of hours?

Once you have paid your membership fee, you can pay for a key for the courts and/or the clubhouse - at the moment they cost £5.50 each.

Can I play during the summer holidays?

Day-time court usage is restricted during the summer school holidays and we are asked to vacate the courts by 10.00am, including Thursday and Saturday morning social tennis. Evening social tennis carries on as normal.

How do I know what events are planned for the club?

Details of Club events are sent by email and WhatsApp. WhatsApp is used by the majority of the members, not only for general information but information on the weather and if tennis is likely to take place or not!

Does the Club have floodlights and how do I pay for my usage of them?

Yes, four floodlit courts are available to members every evening. There is a charge of £2.00 per person for social sessions when the floodlights are used and there is a charge of £2.00 per person per ½ hour when the floodlights are used outside of social sessions. This is on an honesty basis with payments recorded in the book in the clubroom, placed in a money bag and posted in the slot to the left of the microwave.

Can visitors play and how do they pay?

Yes, visitors of members are welcome to play with the Club at a cost of £5 per session, during social tennis time. If visitors play with you outside of social tennis time they need to pay a percentage of the BHRG court fee, which should be paid directly to the kiosk.

Can I park my car at the tennis courts?
