Junior Coaching Programme

The CTC Junior Coaching Programme tries to cater for all standards of player ranging from beginner to performance with an age range of 4-16.

Below is an explanation of the the three different pathways you can take within the coaching programme so you can decide with one best suits your child's needs and ambitions and also any logistical challenges you might have as a parent!

Before you go any further you will need to know which type of player your child is based on their current age. In general the following guidelines will be followed:

Mini Red: Ages 4-7. Small court, soft balls

Mini Orange: Ages 8-9. Half a full court and softer balls

Mini Green: Ages 9-10. Full size court and softish balls

Yellow : 10 & over. Full size court, normal balls.

Within all of these groups we run the following pathways.

Development.

The first stop for most players. This is good for those just wanting to play once a week and enjoy the game of tennis.

Academy.

These sessions are for the more committed player who wishes to commit to training more then once a week and get involved in the internal junior tournament circuit. They will also be looking to represent the club in team competitions. Invitational Only!

Performance.

This is for our hardcore players who wish to make tennis one of their main priorities. Generally consisting of around 5 to 6 hours per week of training including individual tuition it is expected that these players are looking to reach their own possible highest standard of play or are looking to gain a career in the tennis industry. Strictly Invitational! If you wish to be considered for this pathway please contact Mat.

Please contact Mat Dorn if you have any further queries.
