Caterham & Whyteleafe Tennis Club

We are a small, enthusiastic and welcoming tennis & pickleball club situated in a picturesque woodland setting on the Caterham/Whyteleafe border in Surrey. We provide a friendly, inclusive and relaxed environment for players of all ages and abilities. Take a look at the photos of our courts in bright Wimbledon colours!

Our friendly club is affiliated to the LTA and is run by a committee of dedicated volunteers who are involved heavily with tennis and the local community. We have three outdoor, all weather, painted tarmac tennis courts, four pickleball courts and a small clubhouse with a lovely gazebo.

Through the year we run multiple free social sessions, we host internal tournaments, league matches and fun off-court events - all of which you are welcome to join - or you can go online and book a court at no extra cost and just go and play!
 

If you're new to tennis our hugely popular Beginner & Rusties session on Sundays is the perfect way to start exploring all that we offer at C&WTC - free with your membership!

Full adult membership is £120 for the whole season including both tennis and pickleball.

Head to the membership page to see the current price with 50% discount for young adults, and our favourable rates for juniors and their playing parents. We also offer a Pickleball only membership at £40 for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

Pickleball: we will run weekly social sessions (details to follow) - free for members, £5 for non-members. All welcome!

Typical weekly tennis programme :

• Turn Up & Play (use our free on-line booking system to reserve your court in advance)
• Ball Macine for hire to practice those ground strokes!
• Manic Monday fun social from 6pm
• Tasty Tuesday 10am social - Tea, chat & gently-paced tennis
• Wednesdays: Ladies Tennis & Lunch from noon - prosecco optional!
• Thursday night mixed level social session from 6pm 
• Fun Social Sizzling Saturday 2.30-4.30pm. Tea & cake!
• Sunday Beginners & Rusties' session at 9.30-10.30am - led by Chris
• Super Sunday mixed level social session at 10.30am
• Annual internal Club Championship and Player of the Year
• League tennis and weekly team practice for the competitive!
• Fun Tournaments throughout the year
• Off-court social events

Coaching (payable) through the week by Cooper Tennis in the Community, including:

• Cardio Tennis - Get fit, have fun & learn some tennis skills! Wednesdays 9-10.30am.
• Adult group coaching Wednesdays 10.30-12, Fridays 9.30-11am & Saturdays 12-1pm - ideal for beginners and intermediaries.
• Book your own coach at a time to suit you
• Junior coaching - flexible programme after school and on Saturday mornings
• Junior tournaments
• Junior holiday camps - offers available!
