Play Your Way To Wimbledon 2024

CPTC took part in the UK's biggest tennis tournament, 'Play Your Way to Wimbledon', on Sunday April 14th with the players competing for a chance to play on the hallowed turf of the All England Club later in the year.

PYWTW is a three-tier, national mass participation competition, organised by the LTA and The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) in partnership with Vodafone. The idea is that players initially compete in a doubles event at their local club with the winners progressing through to the Area Finals, and then, if successful, on to the National Finals at Wimbledon.

The winners of the CPTC men's event were Logan Turner and Adam Johnston (Martin Hedges and George Moxley finished runners up). Ali Glover and Esther Rodriguez prevailed in the women's event, edging ahead of Annabel Payne and Mira Flimelova who finished second in a very closely fought group. A morning of dazzling doubles tennis was followed by a wonderful spread of Wimbledon-themed refreshments provided by Bianca.

The winners will be invited to compete in the Berkshire & Oxfordshire Area Finals at North Oxford Lawn Tennis Club on 23rd June. We wish them the very best of luck.
