LTA Youth Tennis Leaders Course at Caversham Park
A Tennis Leader role is suitable for juniors whatever their relationship with tennis – from those brand new to the sport through to those playing regularly. If you are aged 12 to 18 and keen to get involved you will gain invaluable skills and experience that you can use throughout your life – whether in tennis or sport, or outside it.
Upon completion of the course you will receive:
· A certificate of completion
· A workbook to refer back to
· Follow on opportunities for volunteering to build on what you have learnt
· Access to an online area to further your training as a Tennis Leader
The course runs alongside the GDTennis summer camp, which allows Leaders to get immediate experience and put things into practice, which is one of the best ways of learning. During this time, you will benefit from working alongside the GDTennis Coaching Team, who have years of experience working with all ages and abilities.
What comes after the course?
Following the course most leaders undertake further ‘on-court ‘training which can be achieved by volunteering at the club. Once they have reached a sufficient standard, and are 13yrs of age or older, they can go onto receive payment as a Tennis Leader. Please note that a paid position is not guaranteed as part of the course.
