Club Tournaments

We have many opportunities for adults and juniors to take part in fun and competitive tennis activities. For all events, you can enter as an individual; where necessary, all efforts will be made by the tournament organiser to  ensure a partner is found for you.

Day tournaments

We run five mixed doubles tournaments each year. Four of these are American/Australian events when entrants rotate partners over a series of mini-sets and accumulate personal scores of points (in the case of American tournaments ) or games (for Australian touraments). Prizes are awarded to women's and men's winners and runners-up. Generally there is a £5 entrance fee, balls are provided.

In addition, there is the Michelle Cooper Cup which is a mixed doubes tournament. Teams are formed at the start of the day and stay together, participating initially in four team round-robin groups, the winners and best losers of which progress to the knock-out stage, cumulating in a grand final. This is generally considered the Blue Riband of the club tournaments.

The 2024 programme also includes a singles tournament.  This is a a new event and format wil be dependent on the number of entrants.

A further 2024 innovation is a Junior American Tournament in June for players aged 18 and under. There is no entrance fee for this event.

Closing date for entries is 30 June, the draw will be made the following day. If you enter, please arrange your matches as soon as practically possible.  Finals day will be held on Sunday 20 October 2024.
