Friday 14th October saw the annual Presentation Evening at the club and we would like to congratulate the following players who received an award

The following players received an award for most improvement during the season,

Victoria Allen, Dylan Hadley and Oli Shahidullah. Kiri Wiles and Junior Player of the Year, Roo Shahidullah

Finally the Supporters award was given to Jo Gibbs-Jones for all her help with developing the Clubspark website

The Chairman also reported on a successful year throughout the club. The club was well represented at the County Closed; Jane Rushby, Becky Salmon, Becky Williams, Roo Shahidullah together with Ben and James Rushby were all champions.

The mixed team won the Lawson Wood cup for the fifth year in succession and in local leagues the men followed winning the Indoor league title with the Outdoor Derby league title. The mixed team also won the Indoor and Outdoor Derby league Division 1

Congratulations were also given to Jane Rushby and Victoria Allen for their International Honours.

During the winter season there are coaching sessions for the juniors throughout the winter. Also please note that there are social tennis sessions on Sunday morning, Tuesday evening and Friday mornings.  There is a novice adult coaching session on Wednesdays. There is a new coaching session for invited youngsters on Thursday nights and an adult coaching session afterwards; this is particularly for players who are wanting to or have just started playing team tennis. All details of sessions are on the website, please take a look.

In addition the club are running a tennis ladder for players wanting competitive tennis during the close season. Details can be found on the notice board or by contacting Steve Allin at Steve.allin@ntu.ac.uk. The first session is underway at present and players should be booking courts on-line to make sure the courts are available.
