As those of you who have been down to the courts recently know, the Padel court is nearing completion.  We have to thank South Derbyshire District council for a grant to help us build the court and East Midlands Airport for buying equipment to be used by players.

The official opening day is May 1st but prior to that there are opportunities for people to 'give it a try'! On Try-Out Tuesdays you will be able to come down to learn the basics of the game to see if it is something you would like to try, either as a family or a group of players. Please get in touch with Chris Booth on 07791945032 or boothcjsa@hotmail.com and he will book a session for you  on Tuesdays at the beginning of April to show you the rules.

Also the booking system is open now for Pay and Play (discounted to tennis members) and Padel membership is open, either with or without Tennis membership. Look at the Membership option on the home page for details. You will be able to use equipment stored at the club to play.

Please come along to the official opening too where we will have some experienced players demonstrating tips and techniques of the game. The tennis courts are also open that day for people to play on and light refreshments so we are hoping for a good day.

Meanwhile next year's Early Bird is now available on the website. You are only able to join the club this way this year as we have no membership secretary.  It lasts until May 30th, after which members will be charged full price.

The match season starts in April so those of you who would like to play matches please get in touch with team captains with your availability.

Finally on Saturday 16th April, 1.00- 4.00 Becky Williams is running a friendly fun doubles tournament for players of all abilities, the cost is £5 to cover the cost of the balls.
