General Rules

 

These regulations cover the day to day operation of the club as agreed by the committee. For full information regarding the club constitution please refer to our Articles of Association.

 

As an open, friendly and not for profit community tennis club we pride ourselves, not only on the facility and it’s beautiful surroundings, but on the behaviour of our members and guests which has for many years created such a fantastic atmosphere.

 

  1. All courts must be booked in advance through the website or booking app.

        2.Please ensure that a booked court is cancelled as soon as possible when you are unable to play.

       3.Players and spectators using the facility must be respectful and considerate to everyone within club grounds and our neighbours.

       4.Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a suitable adult.

       5. Anyone playing on court must wear suitable sports kit and acceptable footwear. A shirt must be worn at all times.

       6. The playing of music on court is permissible, the volume should be kept to a minimum. It is the responsibility of anyone choosing to use a speaker to check that this is ok with people playing on adjacent courts. Any dispute should result in music not being played.

       7. Food stuffs (particularly chewing gum) should not be consumed on court.

       8. Drinks must be kept in a secure bottle at all times on court. No cups or glasses.

        9. No alcohol allowed on court.

       10.No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere on club grounds.

       11, It is the responsibility of the individual to make sure that any rubbish they generate is put in an appropriate bin.

       12.Ensure the access gate from the car park is closed after you have used it.

       13.Bicycles, skateboards, roller-skates etc are not allowed on court.

       14.Please leave the court you have booked on or before the end of your time slot.

       15.Members play for free. Non-members must pay a court booking fee of £10. Members can invite a guest to play with them but must pay a reduced guest fee of £5 when they book the court (unless they are taking advantage of one of their two free guest passes in which case they must say so and record the name of the guest when booking the court). Members must ensure that they renew their membership by the start of each membership year.

      16. Members are allowed to bring a guest twice for no cost. That person may only visit for free on two occasions regardless of which member invites them, thereafter it is the responsibility of the member inviting to pay £5 online when booking the court.

      17. No footballs allowed on court unless used as part of an official Advantage Coaching session.

      18. No coaching is allowed to take place at the centre unless by designated Advantage Coaching staff. If this does happen then you will be asked to leave the venue.

 

All disputes must be referred to the club committee (or a representative thereof). The decision of the committee is final.
