Pat is our Head Coach at Cwmbran Tennis Club and manages a team of coaches. Pat graduated from the University of Gloucestershire obtaining two degrees a BSc(hons) in Sports Coaching and Exercise Science and achieved a Foundation degree in Sports Coaching and Development, whilst coaching tennis throughout his education. Pat has been coaching for over fifteen years.

Pat has played to a high level of club tennis, including playing at premier standard.

Pat's tennis qualifications include:

• UKCC Level 3 Club Coach Award

• LTA Level 3 accredited

• LTA Youth Start certified

• Cardio Tennis trained

• UKRSA Professional Stringer

• DBS checked

• First Aid trained

• Pat also plans to take the UKCC Level 4 Coach Award

Simon Davies

Simon is a keen tennis player who plays regularly and also plays an essential part in the programme at Cwmbran Tennis Club.

He has achieved his UKCC Level 1 Coaching award and plans to complete his Level 2 in the foreseeable future. Simon assists Pat in the various coaching classes we have throughout the week and has a passion for helping develop players.

In addition Simon has taken on further responsibilities within the Club by captaining various teams throughout the year. Simon is also currently studying towards his PGCE Primary School qualification.

Simon's tennis qualifications include:

• UKCC Level 1 Tennis Coaching Assistant

• LTA Level 1 accredited

• DBS checked

• First Aid trained
