The club is very proud to announce that junior member Orla Theodas, 14, was named Tennis Scotland's Young Person of the year at their annual awards ceremony on 6 February. Orla had been nominated for the award by coach Gary Whitton who wanted to recognise her dedication to the club and coaching program.

Orla is at the club almost every day whether it's helping out at coaching sessions, tournaments, buddy hitting with younger players as well as attending her own training sessions. Her enthusiasm and energy for the sport is infectious and her support for Gary and his coaching program is invaluable. She hopes to do her coaching courses as soon as possible and is also now a regular participant in the ladies tennis training sessions.
