Derbyshire LTA Tennis Awards

Nominations for the 2026 LTA Awards closed on 30th November, 2025

The annual LTA Tennis Awards, presented by Lexus, highlight the incredible achievements and contributions of people in tennis across Britain.

Launched in 2015 with the help of former LTA president Cathie Sabin OBE, the awards celebrate the many thousands of inspirational individuals involved in tennis, dedicating their precious time and energy to the continual development and growth of the sport. Over the past eight years, the awards have illustrated the depth of service and talent within the tennis community across Britain and served as an inspiration to others to volunteer, coach, officiate or to play tennis.

The awards also highlight the talent across the tennis community in Britain, which includes 25,000 volunteers, 6,400 coaches and more than 1,000 officials. They also showcase the incredible achievements of some 12,610 schools, 2,354 clubs and over 9,500 LTA approved tournaments. The contribution of these individuals and venues helps to bring fans and players closer to the game we all love.

Last year, winners were judged from over 2,600 public nominations, and this year we are hoping to break the 3,000 barrier.

2025 Awards Evening.

After a successful return in 2024, our 2025 awards evening did not disappoint.

The event ran on February 8th 2025 at the Derbyshire County Cricket Ground. We hosted nearly 300 people which was a good increase from the previous year. It was great to see so many clubs attend and children and adults of all ages.

The awards presented the Summer and Winter league winners of 2024, alongside our annual categories. A special mention to Mr John Briggs who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award for his many years of service to the County.

To help bring the event to life it was great to have ThreeSixSevenNine Photography and BalloonzUK again. In addition a great contribution to the raffle as well from so many companies also helped make it a great evening!

A big thank you goes to Mr Rob Salmon for his many years of presenting our awards. He announced this year was his last year so we thank him for all he has done. A final thank you goes to the Awards Committee team for their hard-work, especially Rob Hawkins and Karen Ellis, and also to the whole of the Management Committee.
