Club Championships Finals Day 2020

After a different Summer of Tennis with the Wiltshire League being cancelled, the club was fortunate enough to still be able to run its annual Championships event over the months.  This year the club had a new set of Plate and Veteran trophies to present alongside the main ones.

There were many entries and all of the finals were made up of a good number of different players.  Many club members and their friends and familty also came down to see the action on a excellent and exciting day.  The full list of winners is presented below.

After the last final of the day had finished the presentations were held, but not before the unveiling of the new Roll of Honour board that the club has purchased to display in the clubhouse.  All new winners of the main competitions will be added to the board each year.

Despite the present health situation, the day was a great success with all players  and games observing and following the playing guidelines and hopefully all having a thouroughly enjoyable day, whatever the results.  Each match was best of 3 sets with a Championship tie-break taking place instead of a third set
