Jane Fisher Salver

Jane Fisher Salver

The second Jane Fisher Salver was held over the weekend after its postponement in the Spring due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  This was the last of the re-arranged tournaments from the Spring/Summer and the Club Committee were delighted that we were able to complete all of these events that were thought lost.

The tournament, started last year, is a team event where each team rotates its pairs and plays against the others, gaining points for each game won.  There were two teams of 8 in this years event, captained by Neil and Jo, Jane's son and daughter.  The team pairs were rotated so that each player played with and against a different team memeber in each fixture.

Team Neil came out on top for the second year running,  The club was also pleased to have several members of Jane's family present at the event and hope to hold the next tournament in her memory  next Spring
