2024 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The draw for this years championships has been completed and play can now commence! You can find the draw for each event  in the relevant tabs in the green 'competitions' band at the top of this page. 

Entry fees have been set at £5 per competition per person, capped at £10 for those entering more than 2 events.  Please ensure all fees are paid no later than 6 July. Payments should be made to the club account using sort code 80-06-41, account number 00514907. Please quote your NAME and CHAMP as your payment reference.

Event Rules

All ties should be played on a best of 3 set basis. Individual participants will be responsible for arranging matches and  should do this directly with their opponent, ensuring matches are played ahead of stated deadlines. The championship whatsapp group can be used to find contact details and post results.   

The deadlines for completing each round are as follows:

• First Round : 31st July
• Quarter Finals: 21st August
• Semi Finals: 14th September

Following the completion of all semi finals, a decision will be taken on the feasibility of hosting finals events on the weekend(s) of 21/22 September or 28/29 September, based on participant availability. Failing this, competitors will be asked to complete final ties by 12 October.

If you have any difficulty meeting the set deadlines, please do what you can to resolve these as flexibly as possible with your opponent. If you are unable to complete a match on schedule, please flag this to Paul Donnelly or George Gray. Whilst we will be as flexible as possible, our priority is to ensure fairness to all competitors and a timely conclusion of events. We therefore regret that failure to complete matches on time may require the tie to be forfeited.
