Dunblane juniors played their 2nd match of the season against a team of 5 from Crieff SC.

Crieff players were too strong for Dunblane juniors in the first round of matches, but with a bit more confidence, Dunblane juniors won all 3 second round matches.

Euan had to play a lad twice his size and struggled with the power of his opponent, however when matched up better in size he took a close 2 setter, staying calm under pressure to win 12- 10, 12 -10.

Samantha played some lovely squash, attacking when allowed to win a game off Fraser and played some great shots and ran for everything to  push Fraser in all the games. She played much sharper in the second match against Crieff no.1 winning 2 games to 1. There were some fabulous rallies and everyone was exhausted at the finish!

Rory in his first match for Dunblane, was a bit taken aback by Shea’s power but  put in a good effort despite seeming a bit nervous. He made up for it with a 2 -1 win over Creiff no.2 Fraser. Rory had a newfound confidence and played exceptionally well, running down every ball.

Adam Played well and had some great winning shots and 2 really close sets  but found Chris a little strong.

Isla had a fabulous match keeping cool under pressure to win her games 13 – 11 and 12 – 10 but just faltering in the 5th losing to 7. Isla played exceptionally well in a match that could have gone either way. She kept going never giving up til the final point. Well done Isla!!

Delia Burns in her first match had to play another boy, Joe. Joe was serving really well but Delia kept volleying them back into court and hitting some great length and chasing every ball. I was impressed by her determination, never giving up on a ball even one heading quickly to the back wall.

Well done to all Dunblane team for their fighting spirit and good manners. I was a pleasure to watch them!! Thank you to all the parents that came and watched and helped out.
