EBTC Box League Summer 2021

Guidance

• Each pair plays a match against all the other pairs in their box
• A match is best of 3 sets.  The first two sets are tiebreak at 6-6.  The third set (if needed) is a match tie break (first to 10 points with 2 clear points)
• The winning pair are responsible for sending in the score
• Complete all your matches by the agreed date – no extensions
• Winning pair from each division get a bottle of fizz each
• Results will be updated here on the website in the club bookings page
• Pairs must arrange their matches and book the courts - we reccomend 2hrs as most matches can be finished in that time.

Scoring

We will use the following scoring to identify winners of each box and to assist with re-grouping for the next round:

2-0 win = 4 points;     2-1 win = 3 points;    1-2 loss = 2 points;    0-2 loss = 1 point;     not played = 0 points

A bonus point will be awarded to players who complete all of their games during the stated box period.

If players are level on points, then head-to-head record is considered, then number of games won /lost.
