Offering 3 hard courts on a pay-as-you-play basis for non-members, we have an all-weather tennis option, including floodlights, close to the centre of Elgin.
DUFF AVENUE
The club was founded in 1889 and is one of the oldest tennis clubs in Scotland. It has remained at Duff Avenue since that time and has four new artificial clay surface courts, two with floodlights.
The artificial clay courts are available for play at Duff Avenue, with access included to three all-weather courts at Cooper Park, which are also playable all year and are bookable by members and also non-members.
Social tennis sessions are held every Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon, with all members encouraged to take part, regardless of ability. Please email Tim Dickinson, the Social Tennis Coordinator, at elgintennisclub@gmail.com to be added to the Social Tennis WhatsApp group.
Courts not required for these sessions are normally released around 3 hours before the start, so it's always worth checking for last-minute availablity if you are not attending the organised sessions.
Young people are actively encouraged by the club to participate in sport and there is a strong Junior section in the club with coaching for all abilities throughout the year. Junior coaching is held throughout the week, and on Saturday mornings, as well as tennis camps in the Easter, summer and October holidays (see Coaching section for full details). There are also junior club nights (April-October).
We welcome enquiries from new members and we offer adult beginner coaching on Sunday mornings; further details can be found on the Coaching page.
