Code of Conduct
CODE OF CONDUCT
Formed in 1966, Etwall Tennis Club is based at Etwall Leisure Centre. We are a small, friendly club, who believe that tennis is a sport to be enjoyed by all in a sociable environment. It is everyone’s responsibility to maintain this.
We expect members and visitors alike to abide by our Code of Conduct. All members and visitors should:
- Treat all members and visitors fairly and with respect.
- Be friendly, supportive and welcoming to members and visitors
- Help to create a safe and inclusive environment both on and off court
- Adhere to the club’s safeguarding policy, diversity and inclusion policy, rules and regulations.
- Have the relevant consent from parents/carers, members and visitors before taking or using photos and videos.
- Avoid being alone with a child member unless there are exceptional circumstances.
- Avoid physical contact with children unless it is necessary as part of an emergency or congratulatory (eg. handshake / high five).
- Be a positive role model.
- Act with integrity always.
- Actively stop/discourage any rough or dangerous behaviour, bullying or the use of bad or inappropriate language.
- Report all allegations of abuse or poor practice to the club Welfare Officer.
- Take care of club equipment.
