In spite of the very challenging weather conditions the players spirits were not dampened as they entertained the brave spectators with some top quality highly competitive tennis.

The Men’s Doubles Event was won by Harry Mabbitt and Jack Devereux and in the Ladies Event Claire Raddan and Debra Schmidt were the victors with Kevin Gourlay winning the social tournament - congratulations to you all.

We even had our own celebrity playing, Wimbledon umpire James Keothavong who reached the final of the men’s event.

Our thanks go to Terry Mabbitt who organised the event together with Barbara Mabbitt who refereed the tournament, Tracy Gourlay for providing the trophies and Sharon, Geraldine and Hilary for the delicious refreshments.

And of course special thanks to Sally Olney for once again representing the family and presenting the trophies.
