Padel is one of the fastest growing racquet sports in the UK, and it’s now available right here in Formby at Formby Lawn Tennis Club. If you’re curious but haven’t played before, here’s the simplest way to get started.
1) Book a padel court
Our LED lit doubles padel court is available to book throughout the week for members and guests. You can choose a time that suits you, whether it’s a social hit, a first try, or a planned session with friends.
Book here: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/FormbyLawnTennisClub/BookPadel
2) Gear up for your first session
You don’t need much to start playing padel. Come with:
- Comfortable sports shoes
- Water to stay hydrated
- A padel racket (beginners can borrow one from the clubhouse)
If you’re unsure about equipment or want advice, our coaching team is happy to help.
3) Try coaching for a quicker start
If you want confidence from the first session, padel coaching is available for adults and juniors. Our padel coach runs beginner and improver programmes, individual lessons and paired sessions.
